In addition to the many sights he has seen, he has done a lot for Fahari. For example, he has given information to students and has taken turns in our shop (the Snuffelmarkt). On behalf of him, we would like to thank everyone who helped to give him an unforgettable time.

17-02-2017 till 03-03-2017: As every year we visited the project in Kenya. This time we went with some donor parents who have seen with their own eyes what we all have achieved during the last years. It was all a trip to remember! Besides some "unceremoniously" we had a wonderful day at the beach with the kids. Because the children had never seen wild animals with their own eyes we could, thanks to many donors, organize a real safari day with them and their guidance. It was quite a revelation for them. Between the spotting of the animals, they also got lunch at a lodge.
For the older children in the project there were already two bikes. So the little ones also got a bicycle. Thanks to the donors!
We have visited the public school (Kireme Primary School) where all children go to and where we were surprised with a "Masai" show. We distributed clothing (from Second Change Shirts) in the village next to the center and the water tower was officially put into use. From above it also gives a nice overview of the project!
Craftsmen are working hard to make the sewing machine tables in the sewing workshop.

07-01-2017: There are some problems with the health of some children in the program. Mwanahamisi and Leonard Kenga went in their "Christmas holliday" to their caretakers and came back with malaria. Leonard health is so bad, he even needs a blood transfusion. We called a lot people we know to donate their blood (if blood group B +) for this guy. It was a nerve-racking day to achieve that .... But eventually it worked and we have found two people with the right blood type and who donated! Thanks to Flavian and Davis for their involvement with Leonard!

06-01-2017: James is one of the children who went to secondary school this year. He had some trouble with his hearing and they were not able to do anything about it at the hospital in Mtwapa. Now he is further controlled by a specialist in Nairobi. Bad news !!! It turned out he has a perforated eardrum! Which is quite serious !!! If he gets an ear infection it can lead to blood poisoning and that is dangerous !!! With the utmost urgency, we began a fundraising campaign to pay for the necessary surgery.
